ok i have a 98 tiburon and i am wondering if i got everything to do it will a new v-6 six speed tranny and motor fit in my car and has anyone done it b4 casue i am seriously wanting to do this i found everything for about 1500 to 2000 so let me know!!thanks for the help~josh

Josh,
I do not know how much you have been lurking on these boards. But a quick search on the topics of the V6 and the tranny will net you a lot of information.

In a nut shell.. if you got the bucks, anything is possible. Onto more practical matters... the V6 tranny will not bolt to your I4 and the V6 is not worth the effort to install into our Tiburons. Yes, from the factory it is a nice smooth and semi-powerful engine, but it does not take to mods very well. It is also heavier than the 4 in your car already.

Best bet, take that money and invest in a turbo kit from our very own Tim (speed factor) and you will be able to leave the V6s tibs in the dust.

ugh why does everyone think the v6 is better

ok its heavier by about 200 lbs so there goes your stability
its only 35hp more people have gotten that with some NA tuning
it will require all kinds of custom mods

its just not worth it might as well put a v8 in it

i got a 400 chevy and a turbo 350 ill sell ya

and if you install it in your tib then take it to the drag strip and a autox ill refund you back the money
