Thankyou for the warm welcome.

I am a newcomer to the world of hyundai and have recently purchased a 1996 RD Coupe fx 2.0 auto.

It seemed like a lot of car for the money and is in quite good order with a few technical/electrical gremlins so hopefully I have come to the right place to get my new toy in top running order.

I am in the middle of negotiating a price for a factory Hyundai scanning unit so as to hopefully help tune and de-bug my new little beast.Any advise in this area will be much appreciated.

When you say scanning unit, are you talking about the OBD software to scan for trouble codes?
