Well I am happy to find this forum. I bought a 2001 Tiburon and I love it. I have put in lots of work and still have much more to do. I recently replaced the axles because the horrible sound it was making. Its much better but still makes ugly noise when Im accelerating or stopping. I think its the whats it called the arm thingy and the bushings. That will be taken care of but my current project is the stereo. I made the mistake of driving with a small cup of water (with no lid) and was able to watch the water pour right into the tape deck. It happened so fast there was nothing I could do. So N E ways my new double din JVC stereo should be arriving today and I am super excited!! Is there anything I need to know or get when I install my new aftermarket stereo? I got the wiring harness that goes to my car. Is there another one that goes specifically to the stereo ? Has anyone installed a new stereo in their Tiburon? Any and all responses will be helpful. Thanks

Also what is going on with the Tiburon repair manuel? Its like they dont exist. Unless you want to pay about a hundred dollars. How can I get a manuel for my 2001 Tiburon besides a dealer?

to the site. You'll find a TON of great info here on the Tiburon. As for a repair manual, the best thing to do is to use the HMC Online Service Tool. I dont happen to have the link and log in handy, so one of the other members can chime in with it. If you have a wiring harness, then it will be a very simple install for your JVC. As for the noise you're hearing...it's most likely a wheel bearing.
