Wow... 210,000 miles. Congratulations.

Only replaced your spark plugs 3 times? I'm glad you've replaced them 3 times over 210,000 miles. Plug wires only twice? I'd try replacing them one more time, to make it even with the plugs.

Rotors? Yeah, those should probably be changed every 200,000 miles or so. Same with brake pads, but only twice?

the other stuff kind of sucks... center console lid? Are you rough with your car?

Oh well, welcome to the forums. Enjoy your stay. Seems that you have quite a good history with your car and know how to fix it (or you pay a lot of money to have someone else fix it). Have you been on any other Hyundai forums?

Btw... I'm in Murfreesboro.

Hey guys,

My car at this state is not worthy of photos. Am I rough with it? Well....let's just say it's been rode hard and put up wet on many occasions. I drive every car. I mean drive it. I don't collect them, I use them. It isn't as bad as it sounds though, I just have the need for speed. Driving is a hobby for me so I drive anything and everything to it's limits (did you know the cruise on the Tib will not engage past 110mph?). I do all my own work (like I said it's a hobby) but the Tibby wasn't really on the top of my list of cars to upgrade but now since I've gotten rid of most of my cars I've got nothing better to do laugh.gif

I go to the 'Boro all the time Majik so you may see me running around from time to time. I've got the stock blue one with the now black primer fender and mirror. StrikeEagle, I used to work at the PMEL there on Arnold before I left for Iraq last year. I live right by the base on hwy 127 next to Tucker's market. I don't go to Huntsville much maybe 3 or 4 times a year but you may see me running around. I think I have the only RD Tib in the Winchester-Manchester-Tullahoma area so if you see the ugly blue one, gimme a shout out.

As far as maintenance is concerned: I may have changed the brakes more than twice, I can't really remember. I know though that I just changed the rears for the first time since I've had it last night. I bought the car used at 56k miles. That broken console problem I partly blame on Hyundai. See they decided that Americans would never drink anything larger than a 12 ounce coke can so my wife just flipped the console lid open and used it for a cup holder. Well a couple kids and some elbows managed to rip the lid clean off the top. A new hinge fixed it back of course. All my other current issues I'll post in the forums. I am an electrical engineer so if you guys have electrical problems I can probably help. I was working on the MegaSquirt DIY ECU project to adapt them to the Toyota Corolla as well so I may be able to help some people out with that if anyone is trying to put one on the Tibby.

This is by far the best board for information I have found. I've checked out NT, FastHyundai, and some Tuscani site but they mostly concern themselves with the GK model. I think this will be my new home.

Thanks
