hey my name is travis im 20 years old and live in north dakota not the best state but it works for now i just bought a 97 tiburon with the 1.8 i was traveling back from arizona and the thermostat stuck closed and before i could get the car shut down it overheated and really messed up the engine i wanted to get a new engine anyways guess this was a good excuse i look forward to talking to everyone as i eventually plan on doing quite a few mods to my car

welcome to the site...this will be your best bet on how to do a engine swap(if your are leaning towards that) or fixing it...

if so these is a great thread in DIY section about doing the BETA 1 to BETA 2 engine swap...alot of informatiion in there

thx everyone yeh i plan on doing a swap in the near future but for now i found a 1.8 with 25,000 miles on it for 550 bucks so i just had that put in as i travel alot for my job and needed my car asap
