Hi, my name is Vincent, I'm from Montreal, Canada.

I drive a 2001 Tiburon.

I've been reading things on this forum for a couple of months and I've finally decided to register.

By now, my car is 100% stock, but I plan putting on a CAI this summer.

English being my second language, I hope you'll understand even if there's a few mistakes laugh.gif

Welcome. Are you using a translating program, because that was better English than what some people post here with lol.

well, I'm not that bad in English, I just meant that I don't frequently use it, so i may use some strange ways to say things. And no I don't use a translator wink1.gif

Is there a lot of Canadians in here?

I'm not really "mechaniccally inclined" by now, but tomorrow it's going to get my oil change done and I was wondering if it was worth the price to put synthetic oil instead of regular oil, and also if a performance oil filter like the K&N one does really change something regarding performance?

Thanks for your answers!

welcome to the site man!

there are quite a few candadians here, you will see quite a few.

if by "getting your oil done" you mean, doing it yourself than yes in my personal opinion synthetic is worth the price over regular oil anyday. if you're not doing it yourself than my advice would be screw the company doing it, find a jack and do it yourself its a good way to become "mechanically inclined" just by doing that (and its cheaper fing02.gif )

i have no clue about the filters though, i just use fram or the cheap walmart filter, but theres going to be some gain whether its protection or performance to using a higher grade filter.
