Hi, my name is Rik

I'm from GodForsaken Britain

I drive a 1997 RD1 (gen1 for the UK folks)

I found these forums quite by accident - but I'm glad I did!! cool.gif

I've done the following mods to my car:

Ceramic wrapped XSPower 4-2-1 manifold, custom cat (own design) and XSPower midsection and exhaust
Custom Short Ram Intake with cold air feed from foglights
Bonnet raised 1/4" and seals removed for cooling
ThrottleBody Heater bypass
BOSCH SUPER4 plugs and Magnecor Blue 8mm leads
OMP strutbrace
EXEEDY Stage1 Road/Race clutch
Rear Towbar fitted - works like a rear strutbrace - and lets me tow me caravan...
F2 EVO 16" wheels (HANKOOK Ventus V12EVO rubber)

Cosmetic mods are - silver ( not orange ) indicator bulbs all round, MAZDA MX-5 repeaters, no rear spoiler, ATM - it's been modded

Thats about it - the whole lot netted me 131WHP and 129 thingies (technical term) of torque. A bit dissappointed with the torque figure, but it certainly shifts...

Thanks for reading, it'll be a pleasure...

Annnnd, there we go - there she is... An old photo tho...

Foglights have gone, now - they are just black ovals running 4" ducts to the engine and the SRI/WAI as appropriate... The factory repeaters have gone also - replaced by mk1 smoked Mazda MX-5 repeaters... I'll get some pukka pics up soon... smokin.gif smokin.gif

More pics to follow - as I work out how...

The side indicators (as seen in the pic above) have since been replaced by those of the mkI Mazda MX-5 (Eunos???) roadster... They are basically a round, smoked, low profile side indicator... I'll try and get some pics up - very unique in UK, not seen another RD1 with them fitted...

Welcome! We have a member 'Bal' that is also from Britain. He may also drive a rd 1 i think as well. Please put your location into your profile.

We assume most people are from the states and so should you use some local lingo it may make people jump ya with some flames.

Good work on mods.
