Hey there,
My name is Randy Sharp. I live in Southern California. I moved here is '99 from Northern california where I grew up.
I am married and have three kids.
Which I why I am here. I just bought my oldest son, who turns 17 in May, a '01 Tib with 93K miles. I got a good deal on the car; but it needs some TLC. The engine burns clean and the transmission appears to work well. I have always like the Tib and was lucky to be able to get one for him - I think I enjoy driving the ar more than he does; mainly because I have told him to get used to the car before he starts really driving it.
I found the forum thru the "NewTiburon" forums.
I have not done any modifications to the car. We got it last Sunday. So far It has been detailed (by someone else). So far I have changed the oil, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the air filter, as well as seafoaming the car thru the brake booster.
I am really glad I found this forum.
The Hyunadi dealer by me has an '07 GT Tib for sale. I'd love to pick it up for myself but the car I drive now (Honda Accord) has more payments on the car than what I can get for it. Bummer.
I work in visual effects for film. You can see what here:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0789136/
Cheers!
Randy

That part had me wondering for a minute but then I got it. Welcome to the site. 5-speed or auto? What color did you get?

It's an automatic. As much as I tried to convince him otherwise it is what he wanted. Oh well. It's blue.
I want one now!

The blue is a nice color. So now you should go get a 5-speed and have some fun with it. They are really fun little cars and can be found so cheap.
Oh, try not to quote the post above yours.

I've kind of been looking to see if I can find another one out there.
I would really like to get a 5-speed for myself as another car. It would be so much fun.
I really like how the car drive.
