Hallo.

Anthony.
From Washington state.

2nd owner of a 2000 Tiburon. My second car woo.
Some car experience... but not too much.
So far... just window tint. Deck and some ICE.
Had it for just about a year now, but 6 months it was garaged since I was serving overseas. woo.

Goals....
Trying to keep it looking stock for the most part.

Wanting 220~WHP, while keeping it N/A. Willing to open the sacred block...

But... money's tight these days. So slowly.. slowly...

Collecting parts and then on one beautiful day, and $S*itload later for all the labor, I want to put all the parts on at once.

Right now.. just a 35mm lightweight Fidanza flywheel and a FX200 ACT clutch kit... slowly the collection grows.

220 WHP on a N/A Hyundai Beta would be barely-drivable for regular street use, if you could even get it there. And the money you spent to get there would have got you 50% more power with a basic turbo setup. . .

but welcome.

Haha yeah.

That's my unrealistic "I wish I had the funds to do whatever the hell I want," goal.

More in the realm of reality I'm shooting for 170-180 whp. I love turbo, I love boost, but I have this wierd hankering to keep this vehicle N/A.

I was roaming the forums here and users seem knowledgeable and friendly, hopefully my retarded questions won't piss off too many people here. But I'll try to keep the IQ high.

Welcome. Thank you for your service.

We have a few things you should check out in our DIY section. Some cheap (or free) minor changes you can do now while you build your funds.

Also, the general consensus is that Turbo is an easier and cheaper option if you're looking at 200hp.

Glad to have you here. Take some time to look around and see what we have to offer. We've been here for 7 years, so there are discussions on almost everything.

Check out our Car of the Month/Year section for ideas on where to take your Tib.
