On racing seats where does the harness connect to? do they just connect the seat of somewhere else? Sorry for the stupid question, but i guess that is why i am still in the newbie bin smile.gif

Default racing seat harness

It connects to the two places on either side of the front seat and then there are two under the rear seat I believe. I was actually wondering how people pulled this off myself. Everyone with harnesses dont post up great picks on how the rear of the car looks.

you can acutally buy a bar that bolts up behind the front seats that will hold the harness. I know Sparco sells one and I am sure most other companies that sell harnesses sell them as well.

In order to properly use your restraints you need the bar that Black01Tibby is talking about. Otherwise, if you crash the harness could jam your spine by holding you the wrong way. It's usually just referred to as a harness bar. I'd imagine most companies that sell racing seats sell the bar too. Warning though, access to your back seats will be virtual gone and if your thinking of getting a rollcage then you might want to consider getting one and incorporating the bar into it.

No matter where I look I cant seem to find one. Corbeau does not carry them and I dont think anyone else actually makes a base for us so I cant imagine they would make a harness bar.

what I did was have the lap closest to the center go to under the seat (undo the bolt that holds the seat down) and the other lap go to the stock where the orginal seatbelt hooks up you'll see it. The shoulders go into a Y so I hooked it up to the rearseatbelt top place where you reach for the seatbelt, You still keep the rearseatbelts. You'll know what I am talking about when you see it smile.gif I did it with no help, I only have had this car for under a year and never did any work before this its easy good luck
I get my licence in under 2 months 8O 8O
