i go to school in eau claire (UWEC), not too far.
i'm gonna have to say that pretty much all the stuff you just bought...was a rip off.
wing / tail lights..
the wing and tail lights look realllly ricey / ugly in my opinion..
o2 sensor..
chances are you didn't need an o2 sensor. why did you buy a new one? if the guy installed headers, you have a CEL because he didn't hook up the second one. it's just dangling somewhere. you need to extend the wires on it to put it AFTER the cat.
intake..
the intake you bought is NOT a cold air intake. yes, you read right. what you bought is called a WAI (warm air intake). you will probably not even feel any hp gains (or sound, because more hp = more sound generally) from installing that. plus, if that is the actual picture, there is no hole for the IAT sensor, so your engine is going to run like ass. or, you'll have to drill a hole and buy + insert a rubber grommet in there for the sensor....but why do that when you can buy an AEM cold air intake and have that AWESOME growl sound, plus horsepower. (dynoed 13 hp at the WHEELS)
tuscani door sills / license plate..
well, first of all, we don't drive tuscanis. we drive TIBURONS. a TUSCANI is the 03+ tibs. that means, you will just look stupid driving around with the license plate cover, and the door sills will (most likely) not even fit.
speakers..
they are nice speakers, but for the money, the alpine type s are alpine's bottom-of-the-barrel. it's an OK sound quality with a high price tag. still will sound much nicer than stock 6x9s though.
after time, you will learn to make a post on here BEFORE you buy stuff and waste your money. god knows how much money i've saved because of buying stuff on ebay that won't fit, trying to replace parts that someone told me were broke that actually could just be fixed, etc..
andddd.....welcome!
side note: before i joined these forums about 3.5 years ago, i did not even know how to use a ratchet. now, i've installed EVERYTHING on my car myself. from engine work like headers, exhaust, intake manifold, to electrical stuff like haloz and angel eyes, and even body stuff like my spoiler.
you will learn A LOT from hanging out around here. but, be prepared to take a criticism when you do something stupid. mistakes help you learn.</div>
well - let me try to help you know a little bit more about why i bought what i did, then after that you can tell me again i got ripped off but i at least what you to know why im an idiot tongue.gif
when my friend put the headers on he said he cut the o2 sensor tubing and now i needed to buy a new one, i took him at his word and bought one.
the only reason i want a cold air intake is because i heard they help gas mileage and engine health. well currently i get about 21 or so miles to the gallon which means i have a problem. I'm assuming since the o2 sensor isint hooked up my engine is running heavy on fuel. if that air intake i bought wont help with gas mileage than ill get a different one, but hp gains and whooshing sound when i push the pedal to the floor aren't all that important to me since i need better gas mileage and i barely ever accelerate fast.
i like the tail lights actually, and if anything i would get the alteeze euro black one if i was going to change them, as for that wing, its only 6 inches high vs the (in my opinion, more ricey ones at around 12 inches high) I also made sure to get a black wing since silver would have been ridiculous looking
i wanted that tuscani shit cuz i was changing my car and tuscani is the euro name, also i didn't want to think of the guy i bought it from when i looked at it (kind of a tool), since he drove a tiburon and i drive a tuscani tongue.gif
and i got those speakers so cheap, 40 dollars for 130 dollar speakers i couldn't pass that deal up.
but yea thats why i was an idiot. and i really appreciate someone who know alot more than me responding so in depth on everything, i was hoping someone would do that smile.gif - from now on, ill consult everyone before i buy shit, im just scared people are going to be telling me to buy certain things because they are the "best" brand or something, when to me it doesn't matter to me if i get a few more hp, i feel like if im not racing or taking my car to the track, more hp is just gonna get me more tickets, hence i value sounding fast over being fast wink1.gif
and you're right criticism is good, and i do welcome it, so pile some more on me so i can learn laugh.gif - thanks again

na mods improve gas mileage, adds horsepower, etc because it makes your engine more effecient.
the intake does improve gas mileage because it makes your engine more effecient not by "adding" horsepower, but by FREEING up horsepower. so, the intake that will give you the most horsepower, is also the intake that will improve your gas mileage more, give you "a cooler sound", etc.
a cold air intake is better than a warm air intake because cold air is more dense than warm air. that is, from a physics perspective, there are more air molecules in cold air. more air = more power.
oh yeah, and we all drive tiburons tongue.gif
also, don't quote the post directly above yours. it clutters things up. just use the arrow

I used to think false advertising like that was illegal but the more you look around the more and more you see that type of thing. Maybe its THEIR defenition of a CAI. They just want money. and why does it say the intake is a set. It says somthing like both left and right side or somthing in your link. Two warm air intakes for the price of one tongue.gif
Welcome man,
Lets clear up this "Tuscani" thing...
Tiburon = RD1 97-99
Turbulence = RD2 00-02
Tuscani = GK 03-06
I forget what the new one is called laugh.gif
I realize that you liked the GK more than the RD (your taste), but badging your car as something other than what it is seems like a bad idea. Makes you look like an ignorant noob quite frankly. If you couldn't get the GK because you couldn't afford it, thats fine, but don't pose like you have it.
I'm going to agree with zoned that all the crap you bought was just that: crap
Personally I like the stock RD1 tails, I like them better than the RD2 tails, or any other tail I've seen. They aren't block squares and look very good with the car. Those chrome tails don't match your black car at all. Put your stockers back on or tint those. *shrug* your taste...
The wing is ugly as hell... hopefully you won't put it on. (your taste..........)
The "CAI" that you got was the cheapest crappiest intake available pretty much. You got your money's worth and not a cent more (being that you got it for 1 cent...) You'll get some gains from removing the resonator, but thats pretty much it. I doubt that filter flows better than the stock one.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to make your car look good (well... good in your taste..............) and sound better than stock, but if you don't actually do anything to increase the power of your engine, then you're just posing.
I'll come out and say it: People who act like they got something, but really are just faking and don't know what they're talking about are pathetic and annoying.
You want to mod your car: Great! Research and learn everything you can thats within your price range. There are lots of things you can do that isn't turbo.

1st up, here's the plate frame you need.

2nd up, if this is an indication of the knowledge of the guy selling the CAI we need say no more (you'd need that tube of grease to get that to fit).

First I'd like to say welcome to the site. Mod your hyundai, stick around. I'm pretty proud of my car and everything I've done to it. Alot of people don't like some of the modifications I've done, but screw them! They didn't like einstein's ideas either.
I would like to say that they're right on a couple of things though... That spoiler will probly land you in our ugliest tibs section,. You'd be better off not going with a generic slap-on-any-car spoiler. Also Tuscani is 03+ tiburons mang. I'd send some of that stuff back and take a look around the site. You'll probly find out that what you want is alot different then what you bought.
