hey guys. im 16, and my money only goes to 3 things right now, the car, the McDonalds and the girlfriend. i look foward to posting and reading the posts here (i spend about 5 hours reading the DIY one night).

here or some mods i have done right now
17" Nexo NX-7 silver wheels
Hancook ventus tires
Ebay blue CIA tubing with a better K&N filter.
NO fat girls in the back seat.

I purchased coilover sleeves but i need to get them installed, do you think i could do this in a few hours with sum buddys or should i have a profesional shp handle this? (DIY links if possible)

keep in mind im 16 and i have a low paying job and high ass insurance to pay. So the cheaper i get parts the faster i can slap them on (anyone got the hookup?)

some mods soon to come ( i made a list in spare time)

350 seats

65 harnesses

195 obx header

300-400? exhaust

138? rotors

600 intake manifold (probly wont happen anytime soon)

800 repainted mirrors & dent removal

1918$ for everything exept the manifold

2518 with manifold

450 carbon hood (god i want this but also probly not for awile)

numbers in front are prices and the ? marks are what im unsure of spending.

thanks for reading all of this
Jer

let me be the first and say welcome...

let me start off and say go with the headers, custom exhaust, and hi flow cat...get you a resonator from summit racing or pepboys/autozone(cherry bomb)...get you a magnaflow muffler(www.magnaflow.com), find the part number of what you want and go to ebay and look for it. then find a good shop to do the exhaust.

you will not find a new AIRRAM sad.gif , unless some on here is selling it...i highly doubt someone will be part ways with it

First of all, don't get your dents fixed and mirrors painted for $800. Call Eric at 485-8241 and he'll hook you up. He did all of my body work. Tell him Brandon with the Tiburon sent you. He's off of New Shackle

Second, you have a CAI not a CIA.

Third, don't worry about the cheap seats and harnesses... that could be better spent on engine stuff. You'll appreciate it later, $350 seats won't be worth it and they won't last.

Fourth, I personally wouldn't mess with coilover sleeves. See if you can sell them for what you paid and get the real thing (full strut and coil replacements). You'll appreciate the ride quality later.

Next issue, Air Ram Manifolds have stopped being produced. You'll have to find a used one somewhere (worth it).

Also, for resonator removal, check the DIY section here
http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=2363 (images aren't working, but following text)

I'm glad you got here when you were 16... we realize you're young, so our advice is to help you, not condemn you. You can choose to agree or disagree with us, after all, it is your car. Don't fall into the mistakes so many of us have (including myself).

I would get the Headers and Exhaust from FlyRyde (currently under production) so save up and get them in a few months. There have been unhappy customers with OBX headers.

Welcome to the site!!
As magik said, I'm glad you got here first, instead of modding, then getting here, and having to replace a bunch of stuff.
Get some pics too!

Hey man welcome! Im 17 and know how ya feel on the money thing. Dont go cheap! You get what you pay for. I learned that after my EBAY intake. These guys here give awesome information and know what they are talking about. Always search before you ask. Also, if you pace yourself with the mods, you will appreciate them more. Its better to do stuff here and there with quality parts than all at once with cheap parts. Other than that, enjoy your stay!

thanks guys, well the CIA was an arror in typing on my part. Im not going to rice this car out with the erbuni kit(sorry if you have it). i guess i see what you guys are saying on the cheape stuff, but i do still feel lik ei got the uppper hand on the ebay tubing, i just threw away the crappy filter and got a new K&N. I did get some pics up in my garage. The nexo wheels arent light as a feather but the are a tad but lighter if not the same.

thanks for the number man, do you happen to have the name of this place? The lady who owned my car didnt take care of it and the mirrors need new blue paint do to sun damage, and the dents are very annoying. especialy after you wash it.

thanks alot guys
Jeromy
