Hey guys, I found out about this site from someone on dsmtuners.com a while back and never posted. Anyways, somebody was swapping a 4g63 in an Elantra. I was curious if it was ever done in a Tiburon? I have an extra 7 bolt 4g63 sitting my garage right now and want to do something different with it. Well any info at all, including if it's a REALLY hard swap will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

the "beta" engine in our cars is very similiar in design to the 4g63(other than it having the tranny on the other side). most everything you can do to the 4g63, you can do with the beta.
it probably would be very hard though due to it being off 180 degrees.

actually yeah. a lot of people used to use dsm manifolds back when we had nothing in the way of manifolds. i believe you have to open up a couple holes a little bit, and you might loose power steering or have to relocate the alternator. not sure.
welcome to the site man wavey.gif ...
you asked about if anyone's done the swap into a tiburon... as far as THIS site is concerned, we had a member named Dweet do the swap into a 95 or 96 Elantra. he ended up havin a lot of electrical issues though. and a fire. haha... but he did successfully do it

I have thought about the swap many times and I still consider it every now and then, the 4G63T swap has been done in a Tiburon already just not on this site. Would be nice to have an AWD turbo tib...
