Only bought the Chrome rims because I guy I know was selling them plus tires real cheap and he had em on a RD2. Figured I'd save some $$.

 

People don't like them because they are really heavy and slow the car down alot. Around here performance fing02.gif Looks, depend ponder.gif Looks that hurt performance AR15firing.gif

Youll learn alot here though. I think I joined the site about your age and learned so much. On a sat mornings or something just search loads of stuff and learn all you can.

 

Post up some more tailight shots, I'm not going chrome but they look different to me than most aftermarket tails out there. Welcome by the way...

You say youve spent over $2k. what all was that spent on? Rims/tires, tails, corners, what else?

 

rims, tires, green window tints(free tho), taillights, corners, white bulbs, Otto R cold air with K&N filter, Panasonic remote head unit, Various Neons/LEDS, ordered a strut bar and that'll be in soon, and the only thing i didnt do myself was the body work...when i bought it, it needed to be fixed up quite a bit.

 

Thanks for the quick tails pic that I requested. I actually have the same ones just in black housing, I tried them and then took them right off. Didn't like how they fit with the gap above the tail housing and then when I tried to put the connecters that hold the bulbs into the rear of the tail light it, a few wouldn't fit for nothing. Ended up breaking a tab off the connecter. I'm going to try to take the ones I have and eventually get around to making some kinda prototype tail. I have to many personal projects going on at the moment and other things on the car i have to either redo or catch up with to benifit the mods I've done.

Yeah the rims look like throwing stars and you'd probably take them off and sell them if you feel how quick the car is without chome rims. My 2cents but if you like them thats all that matters. Keep tuning and do things right the first time, never cut corners when moding and vehical, you'll have to go back later sometime and fix it.

 

yeah like I said before the rims werent my first choice, but since the opportunity came about with the price and me not having the most highest paying job either, I figured that it was the best option on rims for now! I do have plans on getting new ones eventually though!
