Hi I'm Rob and am working in Maryland right now. I don't have a Tib but I am around them all day. Not much else I can think of right now that is RD related so I'll just sshh myself and wait to read the rest of the soon-to-be-revealed topics.

Hey guys thanks for the welcome. I'm hoping it lets me post now smile.gif
I work at a Hyundai dealer in the parts department. I spent awhile in the back as a tech but I was given the opportunity to learn this job so I took it. I miss the good ol' days but this is cool too. I get to price blocks and cranks and things when I get bored tongue.gif
Red: I've been around the Hyundai forums for about 2.5 years, starting with hyundaiperformance.com when my wife found it and told me about it. At the time we had just bought a 99 elantra. Prior to that I had an 88 accord that I started messing with because it wouldnt work right (carbureted) and things just sorta went from there.
So if I don't have a tib, what do I drive? Simple, think WRC. But don't think wrc 06 because I won't be able to afford a new car anytime soon :-)

Welcome to the site!
That's great now he have a man, who can give us some answers about some parts.
What are differences (in dimensions) between 1.8 and 2.0 rods?
What are differences between 1.8 and 2.0 stock pistons?

Part number differences:
Rod:
1.8, 23510-23000
2.0, 23510-23200 prior to 7/6/99
2.0, 23510-23700 after 7/5/99
Piston:
1.8, 23410-23010
2.0, 23410-23210
When looking at engine mechanical system:
Bore:
1.8, 82mm
2.0, 93.5mm
Stroke:
1.8, 85mm
2.0, 93.5mm
Compression:
1.8, 10.0
2.0, 10.3
As for physical differences in dimensions, I believe I'd have to accidentally order some and take measurements, and that I can't really do smile.gif

My main attraction to this site is due to the Timeslips database. Rt 13 drags is opening up tomorrow for a test and tune AND they just finished repaving it, so I hope to make my contribution soon. I'm hoping for 2.1 60' and low 16 high 15s, but I could just be fooling myself. I havent made any runs since 03 02.gif
