Well hopefully I will be...
My names Matt, i'm not a forum newb, i'm well known over on pbnation.com which has over 500,000 members. So don't feel like you have to usher me around
Anyway I am new to Tiburons, in fact i've only owned one vehicle and that is my 1998 Ford Ranger. Well I'm selling that soon and i've been looking for a tiburon and i think i've found a little project car, i just need some more opinions.
Its a 1997 Red Tiburon. 92,000 miles. The hood has been changed to grey(i'm sure because of body damages) and the paint is starting to peel. But heres what caught my eye. The price is set at 1450, which is pretty cheap from what i've seen. So after I sell my truck i'll have about 3k to play with.
So should I make an investment and buy the car, sink some money into a new body kit and paintjob or just search for a 3k car?. Any help is appreciated

Meh, that sucker needs some serious body work, probably looking at some big bucks. I'd skip it I think, or buy it and do it one at a time on your own.

Redz: there is a tiburontrader?</div>
Thanks man, we miss you having a car here.
Yup, Tiburontrader.com . No idea who started it, but it's not a bad site.

KC!! I'm not very far from you, I live in NorthWest Arkansas, in the suberbs of Rogers. I'm trying to get a get together going for the ones in Kansas City, Springdfeild, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa. It will be here in NWA. From my house to Kansas City, it's only 240 miles away. You can get here within 3 hours. Anyways, Welcome to the forums. smile.gif

hey man, welcome..
i was looking at that car that you had in that link.. if you could get the guy down to like 1100$, i would buy it..
body work isnt that hard, just takes time. the body work on the rear panel would be tricky, but the rest looks like all primed replacement parts.
with less than 100$ in materials and a days worth of time, that car could at LEAST be in like a solid primer and look good as new, body wise..
92,000 miles isnt bad, but you would wanna swap to a manual transmission.
its probably a rev. A which isnt a horrible thing, but theres some extra work ya need to do to get it up to newer tib spec.
honestly, i would buy it, just get the price down a couple hundred bucks.. especially being able to sell the truck, and have some money to play with, you could get the body work done, in a flat color, and have a new manual transmission and clutch. then happy modding smile.gif
