Ok, i thought i had enough money for the following:

Cat Back Exhaust System
4-2-1 Racing Headers
AEM Cold Air Intake
Altezza'z

Now, i need to waive one of these.... I really want the Altezz'z so they must stay. Now, should i just screw the Racing Headers.. or will they give me more of a HP boost then an AEM?

if you go with the exhaust then the headers will contribute nicely..
but if u go with the headers and aem u wont notice much gain.

thats coming from exp because I first went with headers and cai..then noticed min gains.. so i traded my aem to buy the exhaust and i noticed improvements..and 2 weeks later bought an injen..and then it was sick

I suggest, since it is winter, save up the money needed for a AEM intake, mine will be for sale in spring. Winter is for saving money for spring... That and hockey...

Well... I am much more into GO than SHOW; but couldn't you get Both Headers and CAI and then safe for the Clear Lights?

In engine breathing, you won't get much benefits of only modding one part (intake or exhaust). Another possibility is: What catback are you planning to instal? An expensive one? Because if not, you would get more gains of a CAI and a Header (the Maintec GB is an awsome oportunity for a great product a good price) plus a non-branded muffler shop bigger diameter pipe. I don't know where you live, here it´s really cheap and you can use that till you have the money for a real catback.

I have all of the mods you listed (except my header is a 4-1) and I would say get the engine mods.

I have a cardinal red tib and I think the altezzas set the rear end off nice, not rice... but you can always get the engine mods and save up for the tails. Check e-bay you can find great deals.

Here is what I did to save a lot of money:

Muffler: Ebay - $250 (Mine is a real Apexi N1, but if I had to do it again, I would save about $200 and go with the 'Apexi Style')

Cat-Back: Custom mandrel bent at a local exhaust shop - $100
(That would be a cat-back system INSTALLED for around $150)

4-1 KRD Header: For sale thred here - $100 shipped

Altezzas: $40 purchased used locally

Hope this helps.

$150 installed is a bit cheap for a mandrel bent exhaust.

Well, it might not be a "heritage" muffler, but Summit Racing has very nice SS mufflers for like 80 shipped. I have had mine for 18 months now and it's still shinny and brand-new-looking, the sound is nice it has stainless Steel and ceramic packing. You can safe there, and in the custom exhaust, and still have money for the CAI and Headers.

I'd say, don't spend money to begin on things that doesn't have to be from a top quality manufacturer, spénd money on things that need to be top notch, like a CAI or Headers. On a catback or muffler, the diff in performance between top notch and custom is really little (unless of course you install some crap, but that's not the most of the cases).

having all three myself (at one point in my cars history...) I would say ditch the altezzas for now... they are cheap and easy to do, but they dont really do anything. (If you want to go, faster, that is) if you want to look good, get the lights, the intake and exhaust. theres my two pense on it! smile.gif
