hey guys im new here and i know this is probably "noobish" haha.. 17 and new to modding but you gotta start somewhere right? anyway i have a 97 tib fx 2.0 and im planning on stickin nitrous in it (since turbos are so EXPENSIVE) and i was wondering what i would have to have to run around a 75shot? im wanting atleast 200whp with nitrous.. i wont use it much but when i do i dont wanna blow up ya know. so basically if someone could just throw out a parts list with what ill need to keep my motor from exploding and some estimated hp numbers id be eternally grateful! Thanks in advance! smile.gif
Well, the first thing you're going to need is a sturdy muffler belt...
J/K, umm, I don't think you're going to find it TOO highly recommended that you start off with nitrous if you have no experience with cars whatsoever. So before you "stick in the nitrous" maybe you should check out the DIY section and do your resonator removal to get a bit familiar in your engine bay, then maybe some N/A mods like an e-bay intake and then go from there...

colder spark plugs and a bigger fuel pump to handle the extra amount of fuel you will need to add to burn the N02 effiecently.
A:F gauge, fuel pressure gauge, and oil pressure gauge wouldn't hurt either (they look nice in a 3-pod pillar anyway.
SEARCH my friend, we have so much info on this site already. Just think how many other new members (like yourself) have wanted nitrous in their car (counting myself). Think how many have joined this site and asked your exact same question, if you found those threads you could find all your answers and all our comments.
We give you that ability, by searching our forums you can spend hours learning about your RD and what you could do to it.

depends, 75shot might net you around 200whp.
EDIT:
If your stock, you should at least work on the air flow aspects of the engine;
intake(AEM is the only way), Throttle Body, Airram, Phenolic Spacers, Headers(Hot Shot), Catback exhaust.
then add nitrous and BAAM, feel the powaah!

no, keep the questions comin, just search first. if ya still have questions come ask. lots of times when you search it'll make you think of new questions...those are the ones we like to answer...detailed and technical questions (shows you already educated yourself somewhat)
