WELL, I'm sure some of you know me, I've been on RDT, NT, EXD, and EC. I used to drive a 2005 Elantra Turbo (modified alpine kit which at the time I had acquired for $500). I had purchased the car new with 16 miles on it for $15,600 and had sold it to a wholesaler 3 years and 2 months after I purchased it with 126,000 miles on it for $3,000. Here are some pics of it in its prime!!

I had decided to sell it because it was starting to become more of a problem that it was worth. Not that it was hyundai and breaking, but rather my consistant tooling of the car had finally started to take a toll and expensive things needed to be replaced. It needed a passenger side airbag, a new primary cat (had taken the turbo kit off) the transmission spider gears or the cv joints were begining to lock up while driving. that would get scary when the car would suddenly jerk itself to the left for a couple seconds then be fine. and I had taken the exhaust manifold on and off so many times, that one of the studs in the head actually ripped out.....with the threads of the aluminum head attached! So It needed either a new head or the hole drilled and retapped to cure the massive exhaust leak that caused. So in a sense, I gave up. And I bought this!!

Its quite nice. Needed some work when I first bought it, but now I have raised boost pressure, a tuned ECU, full 3" exhaust, short shifter, DVD screen with Nav...its as quick as a twin turbo 6 cyl AWD should be and then some. I can easily touch 140 without even going full throttle. And my gearing lets me go 215+ but I'd need an extra 500 or so horsepower to get going that quickly!
Anyway, thats me. if you didn't know me, now you do, and if you did no me, now you have a refresher. I'll be in from time to time so give me a shout! Thanks smile.gif

2 days after I bought it the water pump seized and it overheat. no engine damage but it was down 2 weeks because I ordered timing belt/waterpump/seals etc. The plan was to do the timing belt once and not touch that side of the motor again for 100k miles because its a bitch to work on. Well, 3000 miles later the hydraulic tensioner broke making the timing belt loose and slap around. luckily it didnt skip timing. so i ordered a new one and installed it. all was fine. and now its starting to make the same noise 8000 miles after that. might have to put ANOTHER tensioner in. oh, and my crank pulley came loose and destroyed my crank sensor. and my carrier bearings for my driveshaft need to get replaced, and my drivers side axle's cv joints are going bad...OTHER THAN THAT!......its been a good car to me. lol
