Much better post, so... Welcome!!
Definitely get a normal CAI, and eBay knockoff is just as good as an AEM imo, and 1/10th of the price...
^^^ Spiffy was the prototype for AEM?????

not exactly, just ones that are moldeled directly after the AEM. they have to look the same. one like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hyundai-97-...1QQcmdZViewItem

the filter on the genuine aems is prolly a little bit better, but the difference wont be noticeable.

Close, but go for one that looks more like the AEM like tibby01 pointed out. Most will work, but be sure it's a CAI (cold air intake) overagainst the WAI (warm air intake) (basically CAI is longer than the other). Do what you can to find an AEM clone... Also, make sure it has a decent filter on it.

Welcome, duder. Don't worry about starting out like you did. I've done the same, but my taste changed to a cleaner look, now i'm winning alot more car shows than I was before. lol

Otto racing has a good clone if your interested in a knock off kinda 1. Or if not then go with AEM lol.
