I'm Adam, just bought a 1998 Tiburon FX about a month ago, 5 speed and all that fun stuff. 87,000 miles. I heard about the site from NewTiburon.com.

Uhh.. yea.

That's my car when I first got it. As of now I've just done visual mods.
I've got these tail lights

I've also got green underglow, but I'm changing that out to street glow.
I'd like to turn my car into a show car, you know, Hot Import Nights worthy, so I'm going with some Drag DR15 18" rims. Black with a chrome lip, Cuda body kit, shark wing, and painting it either orange or green. I might just keep it black though, I'm not sure, lol.

As far as performance goes, I'm saving for an Alpine Turbo kit right now. I want to get a bigger fuel system, cams, iridium plugs, turbo timer, boost controller, big intercooler, 3" piping, but you never know what will happen. I'm new to the actual owning an import car scene. I plan on doing ecerything myself except the bodywork, I don't trust myself with an expensive bodykit and paint....

My friend has a 2000 Celica GT that I've helped him with, so I wanted to do it myself. I helped him do an intake system, headers, exhaust, performance chip, short shifter, and just the normal stuff like oil changes and what not. I just never had a car worth putting effort into. I'm a 17 year old senior in high school with a job at AutoZone, what can you expect?

welcome to rdtiburon. my name is Adam also. f*cking awesome tiburon and it's 5-speed. just don't throw those played out taillamps on, yours are fine just the way they are.

don't buy the cuda kit and definitely don't get 18 rims!! 17's are the way to go, any bigger and your girlfriends hair will be waving forward instead of back. sorry for all of the contradictions, but it's just how i feel.

excellent choice on the car, and excellent choice choosing us. hope you stick around and pump some power into it. i love black first gens... uuughh so tight.

^^^is it just me or does that seem off lol?!?! Boostin isnt exactly a walk in the park. Its not somethin to take lightly. I mean if you screw up there you cant drive your car and possibly need a new engine. if you screw up with the body you can always say you did it on purpose lol. Body kit--less than 1000, paint- depends who does it but lets say less than 1000....Turbo kit- already over 3000+ the upgrades Just a lil more expensive fing02.gif

1. NO 18" rims
2. Look in the flyryde secion for body parts! amazing quality and better looks.

PS...welcome to the site! Hope youre prepared to invest lots of time an money on your car because its seriously an addiction wink1.gif
