I'm Chris, 30 years old, living in the UK and I'm currently serving with the British Army. I'm driving around in a 2.7 V6 Coupe, which I love, and I'm chuffed to bits with finally finding a web site dedicated to modifing these awesome cars biggrin.gif

Welcome (US Army here) you came to the right place. Id say search a little bit, but some of the best mods for them seem to be clutch (if your manual) and boost. You have a few options on the latter thanks to a decent aftermarket backing of the 2.7 cool.gif

I suppose I'm looking at modifing the coupe as a whole, I don't want to do to much to the exterior other than wheels, ride height, big brakes (F+R) and a few small cosmetic issues (lights, spoiler etc.). Under the bonnet, I want to gain a few extra horses wink.gif, exhaust (complete), air filter etc etc.

I suppose I want to give her that little something so that when I'm at the lights I can leave those little boys in their novas, civics etc eating my dust Plus it'd be nice to show off that V6 growl

 

Does anyone know of any sites/shops here in the UK that specialise in the Hyundai Coupe??

 

Doubt you'll find any shops that are geared towards the coupe only, but I'm willing to bet any performance or race shop out there can you get the parts you need.

You also could order online or ebay, and have stuff shipped to you. Intake and exhausts are super easy to install yourself with just basic tools. Anything else, you can probably just take to a mechanic and have them do what you want or install certain parts.

Same with exterior stuff....you could probably find a body shop to paint or install stuff pretty easily. smile.gif

 

I haven't done alot to her yet, just fitted my old Alpine headunit with iPod brain. Sitting in the garage I have a race header waiting to go on, but I've heard I have to take the engine out to install it :s is this true?? Has anybody DIY'd a V6 header before? Surely it can't be that hard :s is it?
