HEY SUP
Hey i'm figmoomoo, i'm a proud owner of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE. I haven't done anything to my car yet, and I'm not sure what to do with it, so if anyone would like/love to help me out, that would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks,
Figmoomoo
Thanks,

not much is known of things yet for your car since it is so new but some upgrades you may look into would be brighter lighting if you find it not bright enough. alot of us have turned to the LED area and have great results.
but damn a 2011, just keep it clean and let your friends drool looking at it,lol.
welcome to the site.

there is actually quite a few things to learn about rims that i would suggest yo learn before you decide on just a set because of teh looks of them.
if you go a size bigger in terms of rim, going smaller in tire size is what you will have to do so you don't throw your speedometer all out of whack.
a good rule of thumb in terms of wheels is finging a set where the wheel will weigh roughly 1 lb. for every inch in diameter.
stock rims any any car are usually very heavy and if you can find a way by going to a lighter rim that extra amount of rolling enertia you were carrying will decrease in the stopping distance of your car just because you lost weight.
i had very heavy rims (not the stockers) that the prior owner put on for looks only. damn things weighed 26lbs./piece. my konig twilites are the exact same size in the 17" verion and weigh 17.4lbs/ per rim. so basically i lost 36 lbs. of rolling inertia weight.
get the idea?
my first thing to say to you is get out there and search as much as you can in the areas you are most interested in. get some ideas and then come ask what the members here think cause after awhile , no offense to you since you are new, but there is only so much spoonfeeding one can do for a person.

HID lighting (not sure if the Sonata's come with it from factory), window tint, aftermarket stereo, better rims & tires, etc...
Here's a good place to start for performance and appearance stuff for your Sonata! You get a discount there also for being a Hyundai Aftermarket.org member!

You can always get a custom exhaust made. The header for a 4 cylinder Sonata since 2005+ should bolt to the engine but as far as I know that hasn't been verified. It also might have clearance issues since the new engine bay is not designed for a V6 also. A cold air intake could be made to work in one way or another.
There are some other parts to look at here.

umm, does it matter that its GDI? and should i go for a v6? (and wouldnt that just be really expensive to do?)
