Default Hey all! It's been a couple years...

Whoa! I'm back! Some of you may remember me, but I haven't posted on any of the Hyundai forums since my LC2 got wrecked 2 years ago. I already made a come-back topic on HP, but Floyd informed me that it sucks over there now, and I should come over here! Lol.

So yeah, I work for Honda now (yeah, ironic, ain't it?), but I'm still a Hyundai and GM fanatic (i.e. still complicated..haha). I've been spending all of my forum time on my Buick and local car club forums, and all of my modifying time on my '02 Buick Regal. I put quite a bit of work and money in to the stock L36 N/A 3800 Series II V-6, only to get sick of N/A and swap it out for a newer L32 Supercharged 3800 Series III. I've put a bit of work in to this new motor, enough to hit a 1/4-mi. of 13.1@108mph (didn't take much with this new motor, honestly, just a cam, rockers, and springs basically). I'll be breaking in to the 12's in the next couple of months, though, I've got an intercooler and a NorthStar V8 throttle body on the way. pepper.gif

I'll probably be hanging around here more often, I miss the good times!

-Tim

Yeah, you will probably like it better here than the current HP. You're welcome to compare, but most of the time current HP just makes me sick in the pit of my stomach.

How hard was it swapping over to the L32 in the Buick? I've considered swapping over to the L67 Series II in the Fiero.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(187sks @ Apr 12 2009, 11:38 PM) </div><div class='quotemain'>How hard was it swapping over to the L32 in the Buick? I've considered swapping over to the L67 Series II in the Fiero.</div>Actually, it was incredibly easy. The L32 motor and the MN7 trans. (from an L67) that I built all just bolted right in to the car. I used an L67 computer and an L67 wiring harness.
But here's the list of stuff I had to do, it's not much:
--Swap the drive-by-wire gas pedal assembly in from a newer L32 Grand Prix (bolted in, just routed the wires where the old throttle cable went)
--The fuel system on the L32 is different, so I just swapped in the lines and the fuel rail from an L67
--Had to make a new exhaust, my stock one didn't line up...but who would throw a full stock exhaust on a build like this, anyway?!
--Use L32 02 sensors instead of my original L36 02's
--The L67 harness worked perfectly, I just had to adapt it to use the two MAP sensors on the L32 rather than one on the L67

And of course, I had to spend a bit of time tuning the PCM, as the L32 runs A LOT leaner than the L36/L67. But it really wasn't bad.

There's a few companies out there that sell full kits (incl. pre-modified PCM's) just for swapping the L67 in to a Fiero. It's a really popular swap, and the results are awesome.

Cool. If we're going to keep this Fiero we're going to do something fun to it. 2600 pounds with a L67 would be a lot of fun. It's actually pretty fun already with the 2.8l. It would be nuts with the L67.
