Hey everyone, just popping in to say hello. I just picked up a bone stock 1999 Tiburon (auto unfortunately...blech), and I'm looking forward to doing some tasteful mods and upgrades.

New Hampshire, up near the Sunapee area. Took some photos of the car today after a nice wash and wax. The dealership had detailed the interior before I bought it; it's spotless now!

I'm not entirely sure, yet. I'm in the process of looking at a lot of other Tibs to see what other people have done, trying to come up with some ideas on how I want to proceed. My mantra for vehicles has always been 'if it doesn't make it go faster, stop quicker, or handle better...don't do it to your vehicle', but as I get older I listen to myself less and less, lol. I love how the back end of it looks; it reminds me of an Aston Martin, to a certain extent. I'm not entirely crazy about the front, however. It's got these nice big wheel arches, and a dinky little nose that's high off the ground. I might piece together a body kit for it, but it won't be anything particularly crazy, as this will also be a winter driver as well. It desperately needs some rims and a lower suspension, though.
Eventual big plans may be an auto to manual swap, if I can ever find info on the process and what's needed. I'm sure I'll do the usual engine tweaks (intake, header, 1.8l intake cam), and I may even end up tweaking the injectors, etc. I never know exactly what I'll do until I do it, lol. I'm always open for suggestions.
First order of business though is to take care of the CEL. It's throwing a PO441 code, something to do with the evaporative emissions system. I noticed I'm using an abnormal amount of gas for the driving I've done so far, so that needs to get fixed as soon as I can figure it out.

Theres a few DIY's and alot of info here on the auto to manual swap. ALOT of people have done it, so its not that big of a deal.
