Hello Everybody! Meet The Black Tibby!
Hi, my name is Peter, I live in Nebraska and I own a black 2000 Tiburon. I've had it for about five years. I've kept it mostly stock except for rims, corner lights, tail lights and an Injen intake. I had a bad string of luck when I first got it. Stupid people vandalized it, stupid bird took off the side mirror on the highway, goddamn hail damage, cracked windshield, and my own mom backed into it with her van, smashed up the front-right corner. I ended up paying for body repairs instead of more modifications. Pissed me off. Eventually I purchased a little '93 Toyota Tercel, and that became my experimental car for modifying and beating the hell out of while the Tibby was my reliable black beast. I learned a lot working on the Tercel, and it was fun! Lately, I hate to say it but I'm losing interest in the Tiburon. It is kinda cool that it's a fairly rare car where I live. That's part of the reason I bought it, oh, and it's so damn sexy! I guess I just want more performance out of it. I plan to try to revive my interest by working on the car, try some cool mods, and maybe meet some cool people on this forum.

Pay no mind to the fogged-over tail light. It's got a bad leak in the lens and ton of water gets in there. I had to poke a hole in it to drain the water! I've got some tinted tails in the works to replace them. banana.gif banana.gif

And here's the Terc! It's kinda stripped.

Wow, your Tiburon really looks great!!! How'd you get it so shiny?? Really good choice on rims btw, who are they made by?
If you're interested in more performance, go for a turbo! They have lots of potential and are pretty easy to work with.
And you definitely came to the right site to get your interest in the Tiburon renewed! Tons of information here, check out the DIY section to get some great ideas to get you started.
Welcome!

Cool thanks! Those pics were taken after a fresh bath. I always wash the Tibby by hand. The rims are 5Zigen Fireball's. I photochopped a TON of rims on it before finally deciding on the 5Zigens. They're friggin' sweet! I originally wanted them to be bronze, but for some reason the bronze paint was defective, so I settled for the gunmetal.
Yeah, I'll definitely check out the DIY section! Good stuff there! But I'm really not sure how to turbocharge. Maybe I could install all the components, but I'd have no idea how to tune it properly. And there is no one around here that tunes turbocharged cars.
