Welcome and if you have any questions just ask. There are a few cheap or free mods you could do even.

Well, what do you want to improve?

As far as free mods goes the two best I can think of off the top of my head are the throttle body coolant bypass mod and the slave cylinder spring removal mod.

Aside from those you can do a few things to improve your car in one way or another for pretty cheap. An intake is relatively inexpensive. Strut tower braces are too. Lots of interior upgrades can be bought for cheap. What kinds of things are you interested in?

welcome.gif to the site. Your best bang for the buck is going to be an intake and exhaust. You can get ebay intakes for around $40-50 (maybe even less....not sure), and you could get a universal muffler for around $50, and then have a muffler shop fab up some bigger piping and install it, for around $100. So basically for around $200 (give or take 10 or 20), you could really improve the performance on your car quite a bit.

After that, then you could look at additional pieces, like a header, throttle body, intake manifold, cams, ignition, etc...

If you want to go with a nitrous set up, you could throw in a 45 shot or less on the stock engine. 55-65, upgrade just your fuel pump and ignition, above 65...fuel system (pump, injectors, ignition) and so on....

If you want to go forced induction, theres full Turbo kits available for the Beta, or you could piece one together for around $1200 and up.

The Beta has alot of potential if you want to go with insane power, and have an unlimited budget. If you're tight on cash, then the basic N/A mods or maybe a small nitrous set up is your best bet. If you can get together 2-3 Grand, throw in a nice turbo kit and tune it properly and you'll have a fun ride.

Dont forget however, that the more power you put down, you'll want to increase the performance of others aspects of the car also, like the suspension, wheels, tires, and so on.

It can get quite expensive over time when adding all these things, but thats what keeps it addicting and keeps the sport alive in all of us.

Good luck with your build up, and let us know if you have any questions.
