I was getting sick of my Grand am. Had about 555,000 kms on it and she needed to be put to rest. The engine was great still however the chassis was rusted to fk underneath. I thought "after I buy another car, Im giving the grand am [THE VIKING FUNERAL].
Lookd around for a new car and my pal let me take his 99 tibby for a rip. Well that was it, after an hour drive I wanted one. Found one in the paper and went to see it. Wow...purty car. The woman who owned it kept a file of everything done to it. She was big, I mean probably 250 lbs I don't know how she fit in the car. Could not even bend over to check the tires and had the dealer do it all the time....and documented that too.
I look in the file, changed timing belt, clutch, all brakes, new rotors and a psgr cv boot. The dealer cleaned/vacuumed it too.
I took it for a test drive and was so happy how quiet it was and crusing around it was a nice cool day, I did not need to turn the AC on. I drove around the city so I did not power up the cruise control. "remember this part" lol
....SOLD!
So it was about 3 days before I drove out of the city to my summer cottage. I get on the 4 lane and goto turn on the cruise control. I look down to press the button and...and...umm, where's the button? OMG I don't believe how much of a PUTZ I was to not even check or ask if there was CC......it gets better....
Ok im over that and goto turn the AC on and umm....where's the button, it was supposed to be right here like it was in Mike's car and im thinkin..."hoe-lee s4it im the 3 fkin stooges all rolled up in one"
I was so happy with the car and what she done to it to keep it in top maintenance and clean and quiet, I totally bypass two of the top priorities to decide to purchase whatever car I was going to buy.
ARRGH!
*sigh*
Oh well, just crack the window a bit I guess. I'll cool off by giving my old grand am the torture it don't deserve. The viking funeral. mwaa haa haaaa....
