Default Deciding on camshafts...

I looked at kspec and they had some for 2.0 liter. That's the beta 2, eg 2001 right?

Anyone have these and know how they work? The main reason I want to get some is so I can go faster in lower gears...i can't go above 20 in first gear x_x;

You'll have to check the listing carefully. The Beta 1 and Beta 2 are available in 2.0 litre versions. Also it will have no real effect on the speed you can go in first gear. That is regulated by the gear ratio and final drive. If the camshaft change gives you more low end power you might get through first gear more quickly.

Cams will not make you go faster in any gear, if you can only do 20 in first gear now it will do the same for any engine mod you do, in order to get longer gears you will need to change your gear ratio's not your camshaft's.

Look at the FAQ in the New User section.

Beta 1 = 1996 - 2001

Beta 2 = 2002 - 2003

Beta 2.5 = 2004-2005

Cams will just move the power up in the power range (ex. with 272s you would still be making power at fuel cut on the Tib, while the stock power tapers off at 5700) they won't change the length of the gearing. tongue.gif
