Burning your hand when shifting because you have a metal shiftknob, and you left the car in the sun all day.

Time for a plastic shiftknob...that doesnt retain heat like a metal one does.

Yup, I got rid of mine a long time back just for that very reason. A couple weeks into the summer, and I fabbed something up so I could use my stock leather shift knob again.

The top Hyundai "H" logo on mine is cracked and gone. I really need to get a replacement at some point, I just love the stock one but don't know that I want to get another exact stock one just because of the risk of it cracking again.

If you find someone parting out their tib, I'm sure you can get another one for next to nothing. Worth it to spend $5-10 every couple of years for a new one.

I hear ya guys... my cousin machined a custom Stainless Steel Shift Knob for my tib damn thing weighs a TON. in the winter i had to take the knob off and inside to keep it warm if i left it on it would freeze my hand in the morning. now that its summer ive burnt myself a few times lol, but its worth the kickass look B)

ill try to get some pics up in next few days
