Default XPlode Amplifier?

My friend is selling his 4 channel 500W XPlode amp for $75. It works perfectly since its still connected in his car and I have heard and see it work. I was thinking about getting it and connecting it to front and rear speakers because right now they are connected to my cd player. Ive read mixed reviews on Sony Xplode stuff. Does anybody here have them and can you tell me if they are good or junk? Its this one

Junk. If you can find an older Xplode ES XM-7547... that thing kicked ass. I know, I have two.

If you want louder and have $75 but no amp, and you know it works, why not? Even as a stopgap measure if it is a good value to you go for it.

Wouldn't b bad for stock speakers you should get a good sound. For a sub that's a different story.

I have the same amp. Seems to work well for my front and rear speakers. Sounds better then just my deck alone.

i had the same amp a few years ago, bought it from someone here on the forums

not a bad amp, def not for a subwoofer

the guy i got it from removed the housing and drilled 4 holes to help vent some heat out, you can def tell it worked it gets HOT and i can only imagine how it would run without those vents
