mine was on the piller ahhhhh. but thanks to the good advice of my brother here at rd i mounted it on the wall behind the driver seat. i have had to use it twice one on my tibby when the oil-cooler hose blew, and got oil all over the exthaust maniflold, and the secound time was on my friends car...same shit happen to him. but get a big one not one the size of a cola can and make sure it A.B.C
A=paper B= wire/electrice C= grease/oil/gas

i would say use one the size for a house kitchen. if you want remove the classafication sticker and paint it a diffrent colour and put the sticker back on. also check it every month or when you clean your ride wipe the dust off of it and check it out. and if you use it one time no matter what the gadge says. through it out and buy a new one..

did i miss anything

Sparco makes a nice one. Probably costs a lot more than one from Home Depot though.

I dont think its rice at all, it can save you and your car, and it is required for some racing

Although is a good idea to have one (a very good idea); I don't think is as good the idea to mount it on the APillar, it could even harm you or your passenger in case of an accident. Under the seat (driver or passenger) would be the best place.

Behind the seat or hatch = Safe and a good thing to have
On the Pillar = Rice

imo if you have nitrous no matter where you put it, it's ok because you are running n20! but if you don't have anything and you have a fire extinguisher no matter where you put it's rice. that make sense? lmao.gif i have mine on the pillar...here is an older photo, but you can see it pretty good....

But why there? Why not behind your seat? You can't get to it any easier. People put it on the passenger pillar to SHOW it off. It's out in the open, but not necessarily in an easily accesible spot. Therefore, rice. nana.gif

i do agree with you that you place it there to show it off. since my car is a show car...errrr....it's the perfect spot! what i was referring to is when peeps put one there and then don't have any high performance mods. now that's rice. wink1.gif

Is it rice to have an airbag? I don't think so. An extinguisher is just a security item; therefore, it can't be "rice" to have one, if you buy it just for that: security.

It's rice to buy one just to show it off.

Having or not "high performance" mods shouldn't be a factor neither; you never know when you might need an extinguisher, or where *someone else* might need one.

Buy one, keep it hidden and easily accessible.
