I wonder if they will work in 2001-2003 Elantra.

I hope they do.

damn, I wish I had an elantra to try them on for you guys... OH **** wait I do, I forgot my mom has an elantra 2002 ok, but that'll take longer for me to try, cause it's like 20 miles from me, and they're out on vacation in LA

Ok, here's one of them:

thanks I8... well guys, I think we might have a small problem here, but I will confirm... it seems that I8 bought these brackets about 2-3 weeks ago, and well they didn't fit his 2nd gen tib... he has sent them new instructions and templates for it... he will post on the subject, I will for sure go and check them tonight, I will have to go to where my car is at, cause I don't want to try them on Edwins since he has a 2nd gen, I'll try them on mine, but I don't think there should be a difference...

sad.gif but I for sure will also make sure and be on top of them to make them perfect...

yep I'm double posting, cause I want you guys to check it out... unfortunately I'm a little dissapointed on CORBEAU... I8ACOBRA was correct, the BRACKETS do not fit, please do not purchase just yet...

I have contacted them and spoke to them directly about this, just moments ago, and also I8 has done the same, and he's working on measurements, unfortunately since I don't have the car at the moment, I'm not able to take measurements and take pics, and I don't see Edwin till the weekend... I have to send them back...

I8, you have mail, let me know how the measurements and pics are coming, so we can get this going...

suicide to Corbeau for the moment... lol

I will have the new brackets sometime during the week of Feb 24th. I'll post once I've tried them. BTW, it appears that the brackets, in their original form, should fit the '03 Tib. I'm not 100% on that yet, but I went to the local Hyundai dealer to look at an '03 and it looks like they'll fit. So, once this is done, we should have custom brackets to fit the '97-'03 Tibs and (at least) the '96-'00 Elantra's.

Update:
I got the modified brackets back and will be installing my CR1's tomorrow. I'm supposed to check the seat height and position once the seats are mounted. I'll post again with my findings.
