mine had a solid grip.. have it zipped/tied right into the brace/wire... it won't move, so don't worry.

plus it's hidden, so it won't be looking ghetto.

as for the passenger side, just find at least spots to attach the neon tube onto.. there should be more that a couple of places under there.

this is the best approach, im sure you don't wanna be drilling a screw into the dash

well...i have no problems drilling my dash, and of course there's always that double sided tape that comes with it too, but the biggest thing is in my car, it's hard to find a place where that 10" tube will lay flat, it seems like a 6" ultrabright would work better (except all the ones i've seen have that ugly power box with the transformer inside of it, making it a ***** to wire up to a switch)....but i live in a small town and it's hard as hell just to find the lights that i have right now >_>.

What transformer are you talking about?

follow the wire that goes to the center of the cigarette lighter, past the connection, closer to the firewall. Tap into that wire for red. ground the black wire to the vehical or the side of the cigarette lighter.

If you want to do it a bit better then tearing up your wires and using electrical tape, get some wire taps at radio shack or prefferably solder and heat shrink. E-tape sux unless you solder first.

I just saw NoMaam-uron's neons this weekend when he stopped by for a visit. He has his neons set up in plain view hanging on the lower dash panel and the lower passenger crash pad/glove box panel. He has the ones that flash to the music and it looks pretty good.

He drilled 2 switches into his shifter surround to control them. He can turn them on, off or flash with the music.

Another little trick, instead of using the tubes is to use individual LEDs. If you space them out enough, and aim them properly it looks good. If you do it wrong it looks like you have a spaceship.....

^^I've been thinking about illuminating my lower dash/glove panel/ outside edge of door panels with LEDs. What do you mean space them properly? Are we talking close together or far apart? What are we talking about as far as spacing, 1" 3" 12"?

I've got 50 3mm chrome LED holders on order for this project. I'm going for a high-tech stock look on my tib. I havn't decided weather or not to go with dancing LEDs.

I have no firm plans yet until i see these chrome LED holders in person, i may just dump them and go with black plastic ones.

Input?
