wiring for tiburon
Right to the left of the brake padal or between the clutch and the pedal. Follow the floor from the floor up till it starts to flaten out look over at the brake pedal right where it straightens out go up 2 inches that is your height no go to the left 4 and a quarter inches and that is the sweet spot to drill. I went out and measured it to the T from my car to give you the precises location of where I drilled so you have no problems. Just to be safe thow have someone in the engine bay watching just to make sure when you do come threw you won't hit anything. And have your backup battery pack on hand because the metal in this spot is kinda thick but most important just in case although I know the measurements are right make sure someone is under the hood.
When I approached this, I thought about drilling a hole as well. But if you have time and patience, you can bring the wire through the main firewall hole with all the other wiring. Open up your hood and in about the center of the firewall, you will see a big rubber nub with all wiring going through. It is a tight fit, but you can cut a wire coat hanger and feed it through. Be careful how rough you are with it (only in this instance). YOu can feel for the wire up and to the right of where your throttle line exits. This is where you can pull the wire through. YOu can use electric tape to tape the wire you want to pull through to the hanger. I fit a 4 gauge wire through there and a 14 gauge, so there is room.

That was my other suggestion but I didn't mention it reason being is although I have been certified to do this and have been doing it for years I stay away from wires in a loom that are in conjunction with the air bags which the wires for the air bag sensors in the front of the car run threw this loom by doing this you avoid any f ups like chafing one of those wires or god forbid you have a fire set by your alarm or your amp it will damage those wires and not the rest of the wires for the whole car. Not saying the rubber bushing is bad it saves you a hole but I keep it a rule of thumb to keep all aftermarket wiring away from stock.

I cheated, I ran the wiring into the fender well. Then there is another rubber grommet with LOTS of room to the left of the clutch pedal, between the passenger compartment and the fenderwell., where the ECU is.

I'm glad I mentioned something about it. My friend who installs alarms for a living had started drilling on the passenger side into what i think was the A/C. Thanks all. You saved me mad $$$
