Default wiring questions in the tib

ok so ive had some ideas i was thinking about hard wiring my radar detector and possibly an ipod charger or phone charger but if i was to hard wire them where would a good 12v spot be to do that? ok also i was thinking about putting some led strips in my foot wells and having a switch to control when the lights are on like one switch when the door is open lights are on, just a switch to have them on whenever i want and switch to have them flash to the bass from my amp.

but for it to flash i can get power from my amp

im not really sure of a good 12v to just have them constant

and i was thinking you know the door chime? i disconnected that but would that work for to have them on when the door is open?

thanks

You can draw power for the radar detector from the sunroof power.

The ashtray has been converted to an iPod holder in the past so that may work for you.

I believe the door chime is ground activated, so you can put your power to fuse 1, or directly from the battery, and ground to the door chime.

if you have a alpine HU that has a ipod hookup the cord is like 25 bucks. you can power up the ipod from on that.

I use fuse taps to get power from the fuse box.

You can also grab power from the cigarette lighter or ashtray light, or the head unit

Edit: Sorry, just reread it. Tapping those things above are only active when the ignition is on. Grab it from the fuse box for a constant. There IS a constant somewhere in the head unit so keep the memory from clearing. I think yellow is ignition, red is constant.
