Re: Mussa strut bar
well, Im going to be installing a WHOLE BUNCH of interior lighting over the next couple months. (and some exterior stuff, too)
(waited until summer was almost over...too damn humid here in the DC area)
And I have a question.....
Does anyone know of any SMALL guage distribution blocks??
I'd Really like to run only 1 power wire into the passenger compartment....then have some sort of distribution block before my fuse block....
Anyone know where i could get something along those lines???
This is what i have planned (most are already in the works)
Vent haloz (have em)
Speaker Haloz (will have em soon)
under door lights like blacktibs
headlight haloz (high and low, 2 color, switched seperately)
Lunar accents
and
Leds to highlight my amps.
a total of 7 switches.....(not including a master power switch, so 8 total, master will be placed seperately form the other seven)
what I'd like to do is this :
Battery to interior to master power, master power switch to distribution block, distribution block to fuse block, fuse block to switches, switches back out to all accessory lighting.
Please help me find something that would work.....

Wiring for Extra Lighting
I made something for my car. I will take pics and show you after I get off work. It does a pretty good job and cost about $6.00 for the parts from Radio Shack.

Re: white smoke
Tell you what, I need to make a new one so let me write up a DIY for it later on. What you need to get is :
Plastic Project Box - http://www.radioshack.com/search.asp?cooki...hp=search&SRC=1
Speaker Terminals - http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...ct%5Fid=274-623
And then some speaker wire or other suitable wire.
Turn the project box so the open side is facing down, set the speaker terminals on the bottom of the box, and drill the holes (should be 12 if you have the 8 position terminals). Then wire up the four grounds then solder them to the one ground wire that will exit the box, and do the same with the positives. Make sure you use heat shrink to protect from short circuits. I will write up a full DIY later on. Looking at the prices above, I think it is cheaper to go buy the stuff from the store.

Re: How do you make clear corners yourself
Dude, I got an awesome one I'm working with, it fits 6 full sets, but I think they have them smaller and you can buy 2. They sell them at pepboys and some of the other places. BELL makes them.
Let me see if I can find one...

There you go. I got the blue one, and it works AWESOME. They are ALL fused too. I just spliced a switch into the power part of the line, cut off the excess, and wired the ground.
Get the black or silver though, the color fades QUICK in the sun.

Re: tweeters
Yeah, they are pretty cool, but the neat thing is each different set of terminals is fused.

Re: Wiring for Extra Lighting
Ehhh, 12 or 14 bucks I think?
I love it because of the fuses. And it's got it's own switch on it too if you need to shut it off for whatever. It's even got 2 little tabs that swing out to mount it with.
