Wondering how many people go to sound offs, and what your best DB level has been with your cars? Ive never done anything as I dont have anything much, but I always love going to them and checking out other peoples systems.

Posers. Real tuners take it to the track.

Silverstreak, you are on quite a "streak" of off topic and offensive posting. Noone comes to a car forum to be ridiculed. You are doing so in a most ridiculous manner in which the ridicule is turned towards your ridiculousness. There is no correlation to a track vehicle and a sound off vehicle. A sound off vehicle is not designed to go to the track. There is no posing. Your post will be discussed in the moderator forum.

I like sound offs. I think the beat one I was at was the 2007 NOPI nationals. Some tiny little rabit with a 40" sub playing feedback was just amazingly loud. Some people actually shatter their glass for extra style points.

I plan on entering some sound offs when i get my system done. more sound quality than SPL since i will only have 8's in my tib. not into the boom boom style of crap they use for those SPL contests anyways.

the maxima is gonna get some subs in the near future the 8" isnt cutting it anymore (although it does sound amazing, it just doesnt hit hard enough for my liking)

when i went to nopi some suburban had something like 15 15" subwoofers in the back and used the rear A/C to cool it all

he told me all of the glass was actually lexan cuz he kept shattering it

when he raised it i could feel it from about 50 yards away he had to use a remote to show me cuz he was afraid it would cause health problems laugh.gif

^^^ very true on health conditions. I am pretty sure that if your system is capable of 140 db and above by IASCA rules say you must be outside of teh car.

pretty scary that music can cause heart palipatations.

I went to quite a few last year around town. My system varied from around 142 to 148 depending on the song I used. I haven't gotten to any this year, but with the local stereo store downsizing, a lot of it has been reduced to like one show every three months.
