Hi, i remember looking at some pics of a white LED interior light but i cant find the pics of it. I've searched by the words "white leds, leds white, white led interior" and alot of topics come up but not the one i've been looking for or actually none have white leds in there.

Anyway i'm going to change my interior lighting from red to white but first i wanted to see again how it looked like.

Thanks in advance.

um... i think i didnt make my self clear, sorry about that.

What i want is some pics of people here that have done there interior lighting to white leds. I remember somebody that posted some pics of his/her car that had a white LED conversion in there (HVAC, Cruise Control, Rear Window Defrost, Window and Dimmer switches). Or has anybody done this other than this person that i'm thinking.

I searched here on the site but havent had any luck finding those pics.

I know tibbymat was interested in white halos (sorry if I spoiled anything man...), but I don't know of anyone who as fully done a white LED conversion.
I'd love to see it though!

Thanks, i found it a minute after i posted... i had two windows open replaying to this and looking for that DIY. I kinda have the idea now on how to do it now i just need to put it to practice.

I have one question though, to replace the lights for the LEDs do i take out the lights and put the LEDs or take out the lights and drill in the clear pieces my LEDs? It didnt say anything about that in the DIY, it only had the Needle LEDs which i understand how to do it now.

I'm imagening that i have to do it like the heater cluster, drill in holes and put the LEDs with resistors then the wires to the light bulb or solder it to the other wires?

^^ Not sure which cluster you're referring to, but to do LEDs anywhere, here are the key pictures:

(Everywhere you see a resistor there is an LED)
The LEDs shine from the back and light it all up, you can't simply replace the bulbs and have the same effect. You have to put an LED about every 1/2" -1" or so to get even lighting. So yes, you completely remove the stock bulbs, but then just leave those holes blank (you actually use them to get the wire in there from the back), but then you drill a bunch of holes (I usually did about 4-6 per dial) in the clear plastic piece and mount your LEDs in there.
That applies to the HVAC cluster, but the concept is the same for the gauge cluster.
Did I answer or just confuse you? wink1.gif
