Where My Tweeters At?
Alrighty, I was trying to put in some new tweeters I got from my pioneer set (Still didn't got around to do them), to find out there are like no original tweeters in my car...
I think the previous owner pulled them out.
But I think there should be somesort of 'holder' for the tweeter in my dash, but it isn't there.
Does anyone know if there should?
Oh and, another question.
I would still need to install my filter for the set, I already build in my doorspeakers, and I need to place it between my doorspeakers and my dash tweeters.
So I want to know if the wire for the tweeters are split off from the door or if they're seperate from the door.
'Cause then I would be able to place my filter somewhere in between the wire (still would have to locate the split then though).
If not, then I probably place these tweeters with the filter on/in my door, and place another set for the dash I guess.

heres what i did. on mine, i had the stock tweeters up in the corner of the dash(crashpad), right where it meets the corners on each side. i just took them out and got rid of them.
i bought polk 6.75 components to replace the entire sound system in my car, front and back. on the backs i made an adapter plate for the woofer and used the flush mounts for the tweeters and mounted them in the rear quarter panel trim peices, right behind the quarter windows. i mounted the crossovers right underneath the rear seat bench; one behind the driver seat and one behind the pass. seat.
for the fronts, i used the surface mounts for the tweeters and molded them to the side view mirror interior covers; the little triangle peices. ill put some pictures below. the woofers fit into the stock speaker bracket things fine. i put the crossovers in the map pocket of each door. \
you can get more info in my "many many mods" thread, somewhere in interior i think. its like 3 pages long. here are the pics of the tweeters....

I modified the stock covers on the dash to fit my audiobahn tweeter for the component set. looks amazing. I had to recover it with new material though but it looks and sounds great. Dont have the car here or Id get a pic.
And dont pry to hard to get that cover off or youll dent the dash. you will a little anyway but the little ones will come out.
