What are some good mulitmedia systems?
Hello guys...I used to be big on car audio but I've gotten away from that untill now. I'm very interested in purchasing one of those CD/DVD car radio mulitmedia systems that have the 6 to 7" screen. I've been looking into Alpine CVA-1004 but I really don't know too much about these things. I would appreciate any suggestions, brands or advice anyone could give me in purschasing one..

The AVIC is a very nice HU-- but i believe the cost is well up there (around 2gs if im not mistaken). Im not the biggest Pioneer fan, but theyve got some pretty nice units.
As for 6 and 7 inch screens, Clarion has their new VRX-935 which is pretty good. Eclipse came out with a whole new line and I LOVE eclipse quality, sound, build, everything about them. Pioneer also has more lower money units like the 6500 which will put you back 600-1000 and is a nice unit.

I had that VRX, but I'd much rather get the Pioneer now.
yes, MSRP on it is 2K, but you can get them for 1300 and less.

Lol yeah I looked it up as soon as i posted, its been a while-its an awesome head unit but Im still showing favoritism towards Eclipse-- 16V Balanced Lines just is so impressive and theyre known for exceptional imaging (i guess you would call it).. but it all depends on your money situation and what you like audio wise because there are differences.

you probally won't find a good deal on ebay for one. I've been watching for over 6 months. I won't trust the person if it is under 1k. Because i know how much the unit costs. Plus i've been hoping pionner will soon have the ability for both xm and sirius. Or i'll just wait till clarion comes out with it's NAV/DVD unit. But it's an awsome system if you can afford it.
