Built my previous box for my single 12" kicker L7, it's a sealed w/ 2.25cu ft vol. my friend has a kicker 12" L5 as well, but in the ported Kicker box made for it. It's alot smaller than my sealed box, but seems to hit alot harder and deeper. We both have hatches.
Was thinking of either getting the factory Kicker L7 box or a box about this size:

It'd probably be better to go with the box in the link above than the factory kicker box right? the box in the link has alot more space (3.25cu ft), 3/4 MDF, and is tuned to 37Hz.
Thanks for the help.

As with most subwoofers, the right box for you depends entirely on your goals.
I had a S15L5 in the Accent in a sealed box that was right in the middle of Kicker's sealed enclosure size range. It hit pretty hard and had great SQ for a SoloBaric. If I wanted more SPL I would have gone with a larger ported box.
