Default wattage vs sub senstivity

Is this following statement correct?

An amp giving 500wrms to a sub with a sensitivity rating of 90db will have the same loudness as an amp giving 1000wrms to a sub with a sensitivity rating of 87db.

IF the nominal efficiencies are accurate

and IF you are talking about feeding it 1 Watt

then yes.

Note that most music where you can hear yourself think is just a few watts.
