Default Upgrading my AMP need more bump ^_^

Im about to upgrade my AMP from a MTX amp i dont know the power rating on it anymore but its like 250 i think.

Ive been on ebay and i found a couple i like. just looking for the best bang for the buck and it has to have good looks

anyone here heard anything about any of these brands Legacy,POWER ACOUSTIK,pyramid, and Volenhag amps?

so for 2 have caught my eye the Legacy
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&item=802751576

and the Volenhag
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&item=802744966

Also will i notice a big Differnce going from a MTX250w to one of these 800w amps? and while i also need to invest in one of those caps for my car? i plan on putting in a screen and a DVD player at the same time..

Thanks for the help !

I have heard about all but the Volenhag. I even owned a 1600 Watt Power Acoustik Fire and ice amp. If you want looks, the fire and ice amps look sweet. However, I can tell you now that all of those you listed are over rated and under powered. If you are looking to power small speakers you will be fine, but if you are using them for a sub or 2 then stay away from the low end cheap amps, they are cheap for a reason. If you do get a powerfull amp such as 800+ watts, then I would recomend a Capacitor...But if you are refering to one of those amps, they wouldn't even get any use outa the Cap. Usually for a good amp you pay $1/watt such as $1,000 for a 1000 watt amp. It may seem like a lot of money, but it will SLAM! Hope my rambling helped somewhat

dont buy legacy, power acoustic, pyramid... all those cheap amps.... the have really dirty power... and are extremely over rated...

those autotek's push out extreme power and they are pretty underated....

Audiobahn D-class or High current amps would be a good choice also.... the are extremely clean and powerfull, the a1300hcq and 8001d have under 100Amp current draws... and power ratings are accurate.

before you spend 120$ on a POS legacy 1000 watt amp look at the autoteks for 230$ and audiobahns for around 270$. its well worth the extra bill

personally i like power acoustik, ive owned 4 of their amps. my current set up hits 146.3 DB's off of one amp, so they must not be way under powered.

From what i've read there is only one person so said they liked them. so far you have 2 votes for autotek.

If you don't care much about sound quality,or are tone def,by all means go with Power Acoustik or others you mentioned.Otherwise,Fosgate,Alpine,Kenwood,to name a few.

Also, the brands you mentioned are not very good as far as reliability.

before i commited to buying a new amp i borrowed my friends Voflenhag 1000w amp and it didnt bump "that" much louder than my mtx250w so either my mtx is a damn good amp or my subs are the things that are holding my system back.

they are a pair of JBL 10' subs in a box with the fiberglass front.

SO maybe i need better subs or that voflenhag amp just really sucks
