Figured I would upgrade and go for a touch screen. This was the old one, which I've had close to 2 years without a single issue. It was a no name (Concept International).

Just upgraded to this...its a Clarion VRX485VD. I'll probably keep the Concept laying around as a back up in case anything ever happens to the Clarion. smile.gif

Most flip out units and double din units all have video connections on the back of them for additional monitors and backup cameras.

I absolutely loved my Clarion 1 din DVD 7 inch touch screen before it was stolen, sounded just beautiful.

I just didn't like the BRAIN unit in the trunk, running the required cables sucked ass.

Redz...which model did you have? This is the Clarion VRX485VD, which has everything al built in without a brain. My Concept unit, however does have a seperate brain. Putting it behind the dash was the biggest pain in the ass thing ever. *lol* Took me close to 3 hours to get it to fit and be fully hidden. So glad the Clarion unit is an all in one. smile.gif

I wish you luck on the Clarion. I am sponsered by a Clarion dealer and have a ton of Problems with the Clarions not playing discs after a while but, it is a nice sounding unit. This season they have swapped a JVC unit in my car so I will let you know how that goes.

I can't remember, it was about 5 years ago. You could search for my name and Clarion and see it.

I'd love an all in 1 setup, but I'm leaning more towards one of the JVC's with the small screen built in, not a fold out, and then visors and my headrests.

THAT is something I could use a recommendation on.

That's a nice unit you have there. I sell and install Clarion and MTX stuff. That is the entry level flip up but for the price you can't beat it. We haven't had any issues with ours yet either. I have one in our display bored, the thing runs 9 hrs a day since we brought in some months ago. Also if the before mentioned cd not ready you have a 1 year warranty to fall back on.

Look for this years stuff as well. Clarion really worked over last years stuff with all in one nav, sd readers, ipod control you name it. That unit will be going for less that $1000 which is a good price.

Thanks for the info. I wasnt looking for anything real fancy. Just had to be name brand, good quality, and a touch screen. *lol* I'd love to put extra monitors in my headrests, but umm....I dont have headrests. *lol* I have race seats, so its not that easy to install extra monitors there. I'm most likely going to do visor ones though. I also just purchased a back up camera that has night vision in it, on ebay for $40 brand new! fing02.gif That should be fun to mess with!
