Default Type R or Type S?

Im trying to decide which would be a better sub for my car. The Alpine Type R or Type S. This is going in a single sub enclosure, and Im doing a 10"

Type R Specs:
    [*]10" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils[*]Kevlar® reinforced pulp cone with Santoprene™ rubber surround[*]cast aluminum frame with perimeter venting[*]frequency response: 24-600 Hz[*]power handling: 200-500 watts RMS (250 watts per coil)[*]peak power: 1,500 watts[*]sensitivity: 83 dB[*]top-mount depth: 6-13/16"[*]sealed box volume: 0.5-0.8 cu. ft.[*]ported box volume: 0.6-1.25 cu. ft.[*]warranty: 1 year[*]$100 on Crutchfield
Type S Specs:
      [*]10" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils[*]pulp/glass fiber cone reinforced with Kevlar[*]Santoprene rubber surround[*]power range: 50-300 watts RMS (150 watts per voice coil)[*]peak power handling: 900 watts[*]frequency response: 30-700 Hz[*]sensitivity: 84 dB[*]top-mount depth: 4-1/4"[*]sealed box volume: 0.65-1.5 cubic feet[*]ported box volume: 1.0-1.75 cubic feet[*]warranty: 1 year[*]$130 on Crutchfield
It looks like the Type S needs a bigger box, but doesnt handle as much power as the Type R. I'm using a 400 watt monoblock JL Audio XD600/1 amp which is fine for either sub. So which do you think would be the better buy for the subs?

Ive heard both subs in a friends car and the Type R's sound much more clearer and better. So i say go with them.
