Default Two speakers vs One

Hey everyone,

So right now in my car I have an Alpine MRP-M500 amp and a Rockford P3D412. For those who don't know or don't want to look it up its a 500 watt amp and the system is rated at 2 ohms. If I drop to 4 ohms the amp only puts out 300 watts. My main question is, if I add a second P3D412 and have the system wired to 4 ohms (so 2 speakers at 150 watts each vs 1 at 500 wattsish), will it be noticeably louder, or should I just go ahead and buy a second amp?

DVC's or SVC i see they make both, flexability supports the dvc's in that case i would go two amps and run each at 2ohm. That is a ballzy setup in that case, if the case of svc then go ahead and bridge for a test go, the m500 is a strong amp, didn't like the 1000's however.SPL is your goal?
