Default tweeter install

Hey guys, I was wondering.....I have a 2001 tiburon.....how do I pull off the tweeter grills off the dash ? is there an easy way or tool out there that will help? please get back to me ASAP..........thanks yall!

Well there is a pick tool you can use but a butter knife or flat head screw driver will work also. Take either of the threee that you have and use it to pop of the grill there is nothing holding it in but little clips so it will pop off easily. When you get it of there will be two screws to each tweeter one on the top and one on the bottom they are phillips head screws to remove them you will need a very short stubby screw driver or an angle attachment for a power drill to get them out as you figured there is not much room to work. When the screws are out there is more than enough wire to hook up new tweeters so that's not an issue. Hope that helps.

hi,

i have the 1st generation tib but i'm assuming it's the same set up. Those triangular things right by your A pillar are actually covers. They're clipped in. I got mine out using a flathead screwdriver, but also notice the surrounding dash is pretty sensitive. From there you can connect your aftermarket dome tweeters, assuming that's what you're doing. I've recently done the same.
