can you install the chrome-llooking buttons and knobs on tibs easily, where can you buy them? i found the knobs on kspec, but what about the buttons?

what year tib do you have????
those are stock for 00-01.
if you have a 1st gen.....go to the showroom section and check out "blacktibs in a nutshell"
he put a 2nd gen dash in his 1st gen.

The tuscani ones wont fit right, I had a set and tried, sold them. They WILL fit on the shafts, but they look horrible and the little pointer part won't be pointing in the right way AT ALL. Then the rings won't fit either.

gen two knobs do not fit on first gens either.. the knobs on the first gen are a deeper design with a "skirt" that dips down below the level of the dash.. the second gen knobs do not have that and stick out some. Sorry, I tried.. I think only the fan control knob fit anywhere near right.

then they did something to them... the gen 2 knobs are a MUCH more shallow design than the gen 1 knobs.. I will see if I can scare mine up and post a pic in comparison...
either way.. the gen 2 knobs feel cheap... very light and plastic like.. at least the gen 1 knobs have some heft behind them and a really nice rubber "band" that gives you good tactile feel when you turn them.

You're high Mad, the Gen 2 knobs have a rubberized coating on them. They don't feel cheap at all.
There are several pics on a few of the sites of this being done. Looks good and works great.
I was just playing with my new AC setup today and the knobs are great.
BTW, I found a new difference between the 2000 and 2001.
The 2000 (I've never seen this before) has 2 lights on the air source button, the one next to the AC button. The 2001 only has one light and one image.
