Default Tunez, help me out here!

OK I just bought a matchin pair of Rockford RFZ1808s. My wires I currently have are Lightning Audio, 4 gage, but for some reason I know they are not going to be enough. I need new wires and I am also looking for amp/amps to drive 3 RFZ1808s. I have one now, but bought 2 more, got a great deal on them brand new!!! My deck is a Blaupunkt Casablanca. I would give you a link, but cant find one. If you need info on it I can hook you up. OK I need some amps, cables and any sugestions on what ever else I may need. I am fully capable of installing this my self and have done it plenty of times, but I just wanted some advise here. So anyone can help me out here!

Thanks

Hey Tunez, I have been lookin around. I actually need a mono amp about 600Watts. If you can work me a deal with RCAs and a cap, I will send you the money asap. Ok the Rockford BD500.1 was a big plus in my book. If you have any other sugestions let me know.

OK will need a .5 Farad cap and 8g RCA I would say good quality cables. Not the high end ****, but I believe the $40 range is pretty good. I already have a noise filter if I end up needing one. But I decide on what brand. I did look at that site, but too much makin my head spin here.

I would say 20ft to be safe. would 1 farad cap be too much? Not to sure about the whole cap thing. But if you think it would be best then I am down with it. If you can get me a pirce and I will get back to you asap to buy if the price is right

Hey, the AWG of the cable needed depends on the current draw, and hte length of cable. If you're going for a 1000W system in the trunk, then yeah, 4 AWG isn't going to cut it. 1/0 should do the trick, though.

Another thing to look for is a Class D amplifier for your subs. Class D amps are a lot more efficient than Class A/B amps are, but they're still not really good for anything above sub frequencies, IMO. But they're great for getting a bunch of power to the subwoofers without creating too much heat, or needing too much current to make 'em jam. This can lower your needs for cabling to the trunk, because you're dealing with more than double the efficiency in the amplifier. With a 600W RMS Class D amplifier, your current needs are about what a 175W class A/B amplifier would need.
